Our members gathered for a late fall flour bombing competition. In this event, we approach the Ann Arbor grass runway from 500 feet, and attempt to hit a target on the ground with sacks of flour.

Members of our club organized Women in Aviation week. We hosted hundreds of students in field trips to the airport, a model rocket launch, and tours of the air traffic control tower.

Our club was featured in a nationwide aviation trade magazine, with an in-depth look at our light-sport aircraft, the Cessna Skycatcher. Read more on AOPA's site.

Last Saturday, six Flyers packed into three of the club's Cessnas and took flight for a beautiful trip up the Detroit River and beyond Lake St. Clair to Port Huron. For two weeks, we'd been planning for such a weekend flight, but bad weather kept us grounded, mulling VFR charts at an Ann Arbor Coney Island.
